Getting started with Safe Hands Pet Care is simple. We have a pet meeting process that includes a thorough pet care checklist to ensure we are the perfect match for your furry (or fluffy!) family members.
Step 1: The Initial Inquiry
Fill out our Contact Form or give us a call. During the pet meeting process, tell us a bit about your pets, your location in the OKC area, and the dates or services you’re looking for. You can also check out our pet care checklist for more information. We’ll get back to you within 24 hours to chat about your needs with Safe Hands Pet Care.
Step 2: The Complimentary Meet & Greet
Before we ever start a service with Safe Hands Pet Care, we come to your home for a free 'Meet & Greet.' This essential part of our pet meeting process allows us to: Introduce ourselves to your pets in their own environment, go over your pet care checklist including their specific routine (restroom/walking route, feeding, favorite toys, or bunny-specific greens), discuss home access, security, and emergency contacts, and ensure everyone—human and animal alike—is comfortable and happy!
Step 3: Relax! Your pets are in Safe Hands
Once the Meet & Greet is complete and we have your schedule set, you’re all in for a seamless experience with Safe Hands Pet Care! As part of our pet meeting process, you’ll receive a comprehensive pet care checklist to ensure everything is in order. You’ll also get updates and photos after every visit, giving you total peace of mind while you’re at work or on vacation.

To make our first meeting as productive as possible, please have the following ready:
Medications & Special Needs: A clear pet care checklist outlining any medications, dosages, or specialized care requirements is essential. Whether it’s a specific feeding schedule, mobility assistance, or unique medical needs, we want to ensure we provide the exact care your pet requires during the pet meeting process. Emergency Contact Info: Please provide your veterinarian’s name and phone number, along with a local contact person we can reach if you are unavailable. Key or Entry Instructions: Include a spare key, garage code, or smart lock instructions so we can access your home securely. The "Little Things" List: Does your cat have a favorite hiding spot? Does your rabbit have a specific "treat dance"? Knowing these small details helps us make your pet feel at home with Safe Hands Pet Care.
